We, a group of seven friends from Switzerland, decided to travel to Madagascar together in April. From the start, we knew we had a limited budget and only two weeks to explore this vast country. Initially, we thought we'd plan everything on our own – but fortunately, we discovered Baba Salomon and Madagascar Green Tours. This turned out to be one of the best decisions we could have made. Right from the beginning of our planning, Baba was incredibly accommodating. He took all our wishes into account, always prioritizing our satisfaction and our desire to support the local community. Planning with him was so effortless that we boarded our flight with peace of mind, knowing we were in good hands. Hours later, we were warmly welcomed by Baba Salomon at the airport. Our journey then began: Baba Salomon drove us from Antananarivo northwards to Tulear. The journey with him lasted eight days until he had to bid us farewell in Tulear. We had the best time with Baba, not only because he made us feel safe every moment but also because he shared so much about Madagascar that no one else could. Baba knows the country inside out, and amusingly, many people seem to know Baba. This didn’t surprise us, as he is a genuinely kind-hearted person, exceptionally friendly, always with a smile on his face, making us feel truly comfortable. The itinerary Baba put together for us was also fantastic. Despite our short time, we saw so much of Madagascar. Our highlights included Ranomafana National Park, Isalo National Park, and the Anja Park Reserve. Even the long drives through the country were a highlight in themselves. Loved our trip with Baba and Madagascar green tours. From the very start Baba organized a customized trip for me and three friends. We had soo many desires and questions before coming to Madagascar which Baba met and answerd with no hesitation. We started in Antananrivo, drove to Antsirabe to Morondova, back and to Andasibe with a total of 10 days with Baba as our guide and driver. The hours in the car was long, but Baba made sure we were comfortable, and shared so much knowledge and humor along the way. And even though the time spent on the road could be long, there was so much to see, a lot of pitstops and changing scenery which made the drive eventfull, interesting and picturesque. As well as showing us around his very beautiful country and introducing us to locals, he made sure to let us know about the culture, way of life and teaching us a bit of the language. He also made it possible for us to visit a hospital to donate medical equipment (MUCH needed and recommended if you find yourself with "left over" medical supply before you leave for Madagascar) which made a lasting impression, as well as setting us up with people to whom we could donate warm clothes/shoes ect. After Andasibe we headed up North to Diego Suarez on another 6 days trip, where we met up with Vohangi. Our trip in the North took us from Diego, Montagne d'Ambre, Red Tsingy and Ankarana and yet again Vohangi showed exceptional knowledge about her country, people, nature and animals (everything we find super interesting). And driver Jean Claude drove us safely throughout our journy in the North. The center and North of Madagascar is very different and I would really recommend doing them both. Unfortunately time did not allow us to also do the south, so that will have to be for next time. We're overextatic with our trip and everything that Baba and his team has done for us, and would highly recommend Madagascar Green Tours to anyone going to Madagascar.

We had such an amazing time with Baba on our RN7 tour through Madagascar. I contacted Baba in February for a 7 day tour in April/May for 7 people and we are so happy that we chose to book Madagascar Green Tours :). Communication with him was great and he was very open to our requests (like only booking Malagasy-owned hotels). Upon arrival, we immediately felt very safe and comfortable with him as our guide and driver. Baba is a wonderful human being who loves sharing his knowledge of the Malagasy culture, with whom you can always joke around and also sit comfortably in silence. Our highlights included visiting the rain forest in Ranomafana, spotting Lemurs in Anja Community Reserve and hiking in Isalo National Park etc. Each time Baba organised fantastic local tour guides who really knew their way around the area and the animals. It felt like Baba knew a lot of people everywhere we went and everyone was always happy to see him. He always went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time - so much so that sometimes we felt like we needed to make sure he looked after his needs as well. He even went more than the extra mile when 2 of our group needed help organising transportation from Tulear to Antananarivo after our time with him (we spent about a week without him in Anakao, Tulear and Antananarivo).
