Amazing experience with great Driver and company Oct 2025 • Friends We went from Andasibe to Tulear with Andre as our driver. It was fantastic. Andre was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable. All of the local guides we had were also excellent and knowledgeable. We went for a lower hotel package but they were all fine places to sleep. The car we had was in good working order and comfortable. Baba the owner was also very accommodating when we wanted to make a change due to a miscommunication. He managed to make the change fairly quickly and it was really appreciated. Madagascar is an amazing country. Not just all the cool animals but the people are some of the friendliest we have met. The only slightly annoying thing was the tipping. The local guides would all need to be tipped but sometimes instead of one guide you ended up with 3 guides who all wanted a tip. We were in the slow season and people were desperate for money. Just something to know for your budgeting of your trip. It wasn’t Madagascar greens fault but just the way things are. We would definitely go with Madagascar Green again and recommend them to anyone. Final note don’t be discouraged if it seems like Baba isn’t answering your emails before you book. He also works as a driver and communication is not always available in the country. He will get back to you just maybe not on western time frames.

Arrived from a tiring journey by taxi brousse from Morondava to Antsirabe, at 8 am we called Green Tours to have a car with driver to continue the journey via fianaransoa, Ranohira etc. to Ifaty: in 2 hours we had the car ready in front of the hotel!!!! Really amazing and very kind! A fantastic trip in 6 stages with stops for walks (max.3/4 hours) in the parks Ranomafana, Angja, Isalo. Touching and instructive landscapes along the way, with people's lives like 1000 years ago and desire to go down and try to help everyone. Our guide Patrick in excellent English helped us understand this country abandoned by everyone, especially France which continues to exploit its resources, but which proudly continues in a life of sacrifice : huts of straw and mud , no water and light , nothing : only nature and their strength to make a living from it . Only the Catholic and Lutheran churches try to help them and they respond by going to Mass in the best clothes! At the end an incredible journey rewarded by the beaches and coral reefs of Anakao! Where do I begin ?...I organised with Madagascar Green Tours for myself and nephew to spend 5 days or so in Madagascar and then we saw street protests in Tana on the news..... Baba assured us that all was safe and under control. He was correct - we went as planned and had no security problem when we arrived and were able to complete our itinerary thanks to his professional guides and drivers who were always there when we needed them. He managed to choose accommodation that was pitched at just the right level and itineraries that were realistic, even when we asked to vary them. In fact we decided to add an extra 3 days on the west coast at the last minute and Baba somehow secured additional bookings and flights for us. All the guides we had spoke excellent English and could not have been more helpful. On the final day we visited the Queen's Palace in Tana and the guide Baba organised was one of the most informed and clear I have listened to for a long time. Whilst Baba himself was not our guide, he regularly checked with us via email / WhatsApp to make sure all was going to plan. It is hard to imagine how we could have received a more personal service. Admittedly when we were there, there were few other tourists to be taken care of, but I highly recommend Baba and Madagascar Green Tours to anyone who values personal service.
