BIRDING TOUR

With around 270 bird species, Madagascar is a great place for ornithologists. Around 40% of these birds is endemic. There are very rare birds, like three kinds of mesites. The most famous endemic bird on the island is the vanga, which is specialized in catching insects. There are several kinds of birds of prey, like the buzzard, the hawk, the owl and some very rare eagles. During our 19-day Birding Tour you visit the best places for birding. INDRI INDRI TOUR

If you have a few days left before you leave the capital, visiting Andasibe National Park is a good option. Here you can see the largestof lemur ; Indri Indri, and lemurs Island in Vakôna Forest (private reserve). The first day you visit a reptiles farm in pereyras . On day 2 and 3 you visit Andasibe National Park ( Analamazaotra or Mantadia ) and the last day you drive back to Antananarivo.

The RN7 is the most famous highway in Madagascar and brings you from Antananarivo to Tulear. During this tour you visit four parks. Starting in Antananarivo you go to Antsirabe and from there via Ambositra to Ranomafana NP. After visiting this park you go to Ambalavao, a pretty town in the highlands. Our Jungle Train Tour brings you via the RN7, the most famous highway in Madagascar, from Antananarivo to Tulear. During this tour you visit three parks. Starting in Antananarivo you go to Antsirabe and from there via Ambositra to Fianarantsoa, the second largest city in Madagascar. Here you take the train to Manakara. Then you drive to Ranomafana NP. After visiting this park you go via Ambalavao and the Anja Park Reserve to Isalo NP to hike through the sandstone massifs. This tour ends in Tulear.
